It’s been a while since I updated my blog again, I’ve been really busy! So for the last Visual Expression project of the year (can’t believe I’ve finished my second year of University…), we had a pretty open brief which was based on the theme conflict. The only restrictions were that we had to produce two outcomes, one printed piece and one ambient or virtual media.
I decided to produce a specialist magazine, as I thought this would be the best way to put the information I found across. The magazine focus’s on specific articles about confession, like why it’s a good or bad thing to confess, why people lie and how to confess something difficult. There is also a section where readers can send in their confessions anonymously.
I wanted to keep it typographic, as the first draft I did used too many images and it didn’t feel right. So this magazine uses minimal images. The images that I did use I chose carefully and made sure it fit in with the rest of the design.
More photos here. For the virtual media, I decided to stick with a more modern approach, and created an ipad app. The app allows the user to submit confessions anonymously and securely.
So I have one more project to blog about and then that is all for my second year at Lincoln. I’ve got some pretty exciting things coming up in the summer though, so watch this space!!
